Lab Note 001: Why every surface is 32 inches

A common starting point for a workbench is the height of your wrist when your arms hang at your sides. In this lab that number is 32 inches, so every bench, desk and counter is built to it.

One height means work slides from surface to surface, stools fit everywhere, and there is never a “wrong” bench for a job.
