How it works
Some links on this site — mostly in the gift guide and build-log gear lists — are affiliate links. If you buy something after clicking one, the store may pay me a small commission. The price you pay is the same.
Affiliate links are marked on the page, open in a new tab, and carry rel="sponsored" so search engines know what they are.
Amazon Associates
Some gear links may become affiliate links (for example through Amazon Associates). If a link earns us a commission it will be marked here, and it never changes the price you pay. Right now the gear list links carry no tracking.
Click counting
Links that go through /go/ are counted so I can see which recommendations are useful: the time, the page you came from (without its query string) and a country code. No IP address or personal profile is stored.
Editorial independence
No brand pays to be listed, and commissions don’t decide what gets recommended. If that ever changes for a specific post (for example a sponsored review), the post will say so at the top.
