This is the first lab note, and it is a plan, not a victory lap. Season 1 follows one project from start to finish: turning a single garage bay into a working maker lab.
The rules for the room are simple. Hand tools and electronics live here; the loud power tools live next door. Every work surface is 32 inches high. Every drawer gets a dust lid. Every tool gets a fitted home.
The look is a Dutch furniture maker’s shop: antiqued white walls, light woods stained Delft blue, and clean Baltic birch cabinets with the ply edges left showing.
